Fort Worth, Texas attorney Tom Carr has a general civil practice, which includes representation of school districts and junior colleges in the North Texas area for over thirty-five years and representation of school districts and school officials in litigation concerning personnel and employment law, civil rights defense and voting rights litigation.
Tom received his law degree from Texas Tech School of Law and has spoken at numerous workshops, seminars, and conferences in the area of school law. He has represented school districts in both state and federal courts, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. |

Tom is a former Director of the State Bar of Texas, a Past President of the Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association and was selected Outstanding Young Lawyer by that organization in 1989. Additionally, Tom has served on the Benbrook City Council and Chair of the School Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.Tom is currently a member of the Labor and Employment Law and School Law sections of the State Bar of Texas, The Texas and National Association of School Board’s Council of School Attorneys.
In 2001, Tom received the Presidential Citation from the State Bar of Texas, and the Nancy Grams Memorial Award for Outstanding Contribution to Law Focused Education in the State of Texas. Tom is a Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a Charter Life Fellow of the Tarrant County Bar Foundation. |
